In the beginning of January, the Danish Parliament invited the diplomatic corps to the annual New Year’s reception.
Every year, the Danish Parliament welcomes the diplomatic corps working and residing in Denmark to a joyous evening.
Ms. Pia Kjærsgaard, Speaker of the Danish Parliament, gave a speech to the attending diplomats. She announced some of the upcoming initiatives planned by the Danish Parliament and highlighted the importance of good international relations.
Amongst other things, she said: ”I find that our bilateral meetings provide a unique opportunity to follow events in your countries and to discuss the relationship between our countries. I also greatly appreciate the good cooperation, which the Danish Parliament enjoys with national Parliaments around the world.”
