Video: Speaker of the Danish Parliament sends a message to the Ukrainian people
The iconic tower of Christiansborg Palace lights up in yellow and blue
To send the clear message that all political parties in the Danish Parliament support Ukraine’s struggle for freedom, the iconic tower of Christiansborg Palace, where the Danish Parliament has office, will be lit up in yellow and blue.
The Speaker of the Danish Parliament Søren Gade hopes that the message will reach a wide audience:
»The Danish Parliament has supported Ukraine since the beginning of the war, and we will continue to do so. Lighting up the tower is a symbol which shows Denmark and the rest of the world that the Danish Parliament is standing behind Ukraine in their fight against Russia. I hope that our common message of solidarity will resonate in Ukraine and the Kremlin.«
The tower will be lit up on Friday 24 February from 6-12 p.m. and again on Saturday 25 February from 6-12 p.m.
