EU – Olivier Becht traveling to Strasbourg for meetings at the European Parliament (June 12-13, 2023)

Olivier Becht, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness and French Nationals Abroad, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will be in Strasbourg on June 12 and 13. He will meet with several European parliamentarians to discuss major issues relating to European trade policy ahead of the Spanish presidency of the EU Council. Among the subjects to be discussed are trade agreements, transatlantic relations, relations with China and autonomous EU measures.

The minister delegate will meet with Bernd Lange, chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on International Trade, as well as several members of that committee. He will also hold talks with several EU parliamentarians who are working on trade issues, specifically Heidi Hautala, Vice President of the European Parliament; Anna Cavazzini, chair of the EP Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection; and Reinhard Bütikofer.
