North Korea – Firing of a missile (22 November 2023)

France utterly condemns North Korea’s launch of a ballistic missile on 22 November, which constitutes a further violation of the United Nations Security Council resolutions.

France assures South Korea and Japan of its full solidarity. It urges North Korea to end the current escalation, immediately end its destabilizing actions, comply with its international obligations without delay and return to the negotiating table with a view to engaging in a process of completely, verifiably and irreversibly giving up its nuclear and ballistic programmes.

France is fully mobilized with its partners with the aim of ensuring the implementation of the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, and it calls on North Korea to accept the repeated offers of dialogue made to it.
