France is doing its utmost in order to allow any French nationals and government employees, as well as their families, to leave the Gaza Strip if they so wish.
On Saturday, April 6, one new such operation allowed 17 relatives of French nationals to leave via Rafah. A total of over 260 people have now been able to leave the Gaza Strip since November 1, 2023, thanks to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs’ Crisis and Support Center’s assistance program, together with the French Consulate General in Jerusalem and the French Embassy in Cairo.
We would like to thank the Egyptian authorities for their continued support with these evacuation operations, which were organized under very difficult circumstances.
We are also continuing our efforts, together with the United Nations and our international partners, to step up our humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza.
