Today’s telephone call between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is positive. During his State visit to China at the beginning of April, President Macron made the case to his Chinese counterpart for such a call to be held soon.
China, whose voice matters, can play an important role in leading Russia to end its aggression against Ukraine and finally respect international law again.
France encourages any dialogue that may help to resolve the conflict in accordance with Ukraine’s fundamental interests and international law.
