We were sad to learn of a compatriot’s tragic death in Israel in the context of the terrorist attacks. France extends its sincerest condolences to her loved ones. The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs’ teams are in close contact with our compatriot’s family to support them in this ordeal.
A crisis unit has been open since the events began in order to assist the French community and French people passing through. Teams from the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, our embassy in Tel Aviv and our consulates general in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are fully mobilized to try and clarify the situation regarding several nationals whose whereabouts have not been established, through ongoing contact with their families and in conjunction with the Israeli authorities.
We once again instruct our nationals who are residents or are passing through to exercise strict vigilance, and ask them to follow the local authorities’ instructions and remain in contact with our diplomatic representations.
